Stunning Wildlife at Bali Nature Parks – Indonesia
With its tropical setting, Bali is the perfect habitat for nature parks as it has an appropriate climate for a range of animals from different parts of the world.
Bali Bird and Reptile Park is a feast for the eyes with its giant flocks of colorful birds from Africa, South America, and Indonesia. The birds are some of the world’s most rare and the current owners of the 20-year-old eco-park are committed to the preservation, conservation, and breeding of the birds. Visitors see majestic peacocks, toucans, pelicans and several different parrot species among the birdlife in the park. The setting is close to the birds’ natural habitat, with a walk-in aviary where the birds free fly in a dense, fresh rainforest setting.
At the adjoining Bali Reptile Park visitors encounter some very different creatures from the flying wonders at the bird park. The reptile park houses an assortment of reptile and amphibian species among its horticultural gardens. There are some incredible sights to see here, like giant Komodo dragons, which love sun baking and tasting the air with a flicker of their tongues. Other creatures at the park include: pythons, lizards, geckos, toads, frogs, turtles, tortoises and crocodiles. You’ll leave this tour with a new appreciation for the wonderful and diverse wildlife found on our plane.
